Is your serve lacking power? Is it inconsistent, or is your opponent able to return it easily?

Your serve doesn’t necessarily need to ace your opponent every time, but at the very least, it should prevent your opponent from being able to return a strong volley that will put you off guard. Because you are starting the volley, you should strive to make sure your opponent is off balance from the very beginning, and that you can keep him or her off balance.

If you fail to do this when you’re serving, you are missing half the opportunity to control the game. Watch this video for a step by step lesson of practicing your service and making sure it is better every day. Review these rules often if needed!
